Home to the Canal Street Streetcar line, Mid-City, is just as it sounds, in the Middle of New Orleans. With bounding streets of City Park Ave, the Pontchartrain Expressway, N Broad and Orleans Ave, a lot can be found in this neighborhood of New Orleans. Local restaurants, such as Katies, Mandinas and Angelo Brocato Ice Cream.
The Canal Street Streecar line reopened in 2004 after nearly 40 years since its closer in 1964. Today, you can get on the streetcar at the foot of Canal Street and take it all the way into Downtown New Orleans.
